📱 Connect Instagram to Thryft Ship on Mobile
Keep getting bumped into the Instagram app when you try to connect? You’re not alone! Instagram loves to open logins in its app on mobile. Here’s the cutest little workaround to keep you in your browser and get connected. ✨
🪄 Quick Fix: Request Desktop Site
- Open Thryft Ship in Safari or Chrome on your phone.
- Go to Settings → Inventory Management → Connect Instagram.

When the Instagram login appears:
- On older iOS — tap the “aA” icon in the address bar.
- On newer iOS versions — tap the square with two lines below it icon, then the three dots on the right.
- Select “Request Desktop Site.”
- Log into Instagram when prompted and approve the connection.
- All set! You’ll pop back to Thryft Ship connected. 🎉
🧹 Pro Tip: If you’ve tried connecting before and it’s still not working, try clearing your website data for Thryft Ship in your browser settings — this resets permissions and often fixes stubborn redirects.
✅ Tip: If you see a popup asking to open the Instagram app, tap “Cancel” so you stay in the browser.
🔁 After you’re done: repeat the same steps and choose Request Mobile Site (or refresh) to switch your browser back to normal.
