Thryfter Thursday 03.02

Another Thursday means Thryfter Thursday. You guys already know the gist by now…we love supporting small businesses around here! Today we would like to present to you Jordan Bland and Gabby Smith, the founders of Keepers Thrift Club.

We know by now that social media is a powerhouse to connect people, and Jordan and Gabby found us via Instagram. We had the chance to interview the founders to learn more about their journey as entrepreneurs. See what they had to say.

How did you start your business?

Last year, we met through Instagram and instantly became best because of our mutual love for thrifting. Fast forward to this year, we wanted to create a space for people who also love secondhand and vintage clothing like us!

What keeps you motivated to keep going?

It doesn’t feel like a job because we truly love the art of thrifting, and we get to do it together, which is a huge bonus!

How did you market your business when it was brand new?

We created an Instagram page, one of our first posts was a giveaway (free advertisement), and we tried to utilize reels to reach people.

Any advice for those wanting to start a business or those already in the industry?

Have fun with it, and don’t stress about the learning curves too much!

What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur?

The logistical side of the business, like when to post/ how often / what kind of clothing people want, etc.

What has been your biggest success story so far?

We were invited to do our first-ever local pop-up this weekend—we are so excited!
