Hey, thrifters and potential thrifters! We are back for another Thryfter Thursday blog segment! This week we had the opportunity to interview Payton Antonio, the founder of @ps.closetttt! Payton sells casual and cool clothing and constantly updates us with outstanding sales! Please keep reading to learn more about Payton and her business.
We are always super intrigued to learn how entrepreneurs start their businesses. Can you tell us a bit about that?
“I started my business when I was 14 and my family is surrounded by the business world by owning our own restaurant, running our own basketball leagues, and my baking business during Covid. Other thrifters inspire me to make my business my main source of income in the near future :)”
Wow! You have always been an entrepreneur at heart since you were young! Following up, we know that entrepreneurs are not always born and can also be made, no matter their journey! Do you have any advice for fellow business owners or people looking to start their own business?
“Don’t be afraid to start small. Everyone has to start somewhere. Also, you make some of your closest friends through this business world so reach out to whoever no matter how big or small of an account they have. I met my best friend through our businesses and we’ve been attached at the hip ever since!”
That is such great advice! Start somewhere, wherever you are, and lean on your community! Very wise words! What has been the biggest challenge you had to overcome?
You are so wise beyond your years! We hope our readers can draw inspiration from this and apply it to their lives. You mentioned being able to see the long road and not get discouraged by short-term losses. What keeps you motivated?
“I’m not the biggest fan of wanting to work under someone, which is why I want my business to continue to grow so I can be my own boss someday!”
That makes a lot of sense! We’re curious how you found Thryft Ship to help you make shipping easier.
“From other thrifters who use Thryft Ship”
So cool to hear! And we are so happy to have you with us. Also, lastly, do you have any upcoming drops you’d like to mention?
“I always host weekly story/live sales!”
