Connect once and your Instagram posts and stories appear as selectable items at checkout — automatically.
Tired of screenshots and back-and-forth DMs to confirm who claimed what? Thryft Ship’s improved Inventory connects directly to your Instagram account, pulling in both posts and stories so your product photos and descriptions flow into your checkout form as selectable items — with no manual uploads.
Inventory keeps your shop in sync with your Instagram feed — posts and stories included. Each eligible post or story becomes a selectable item on your Thryft Ship form, and the system intelligently structures the details for you:
To use Inventory, your Instagram profile must be a Business or Creator account. Once you connect it to Thryft Ship, posts and stories will begin syncing automatically.
To sync your posts and stories:
After connecting, the Show Inventory on Form setting is automatically toggled ON so customers can select items on your form. You can toggle it OFF anytime in Settings — customers won’t see items on the form, but Inventory will still sync so you can manage it manually.
When a shopper opens your Thryft Ship form, they’ll see your Available items from both posts and stories, using the same photos and descriptions they saw on Instagram. Once a buyer selects an item on the form, that item is automatically marked Sold for everyone else — speeding up checkout and preventing duplicates.
From your Inventory view you can quickly see which posts and stories are Available for checkout. When an order is completed, the linked item is marked Sold and removed from selection so nobody else can claim it.
You can also set items to Hidden — keeping them off the form but visible in your dashboard — or re-enable them as needed.
The item is automatically marked Sold in your inventory so no other customer can select it.
Yes. Set an item to Hidden to keep it off the form while retaining it in your inventory. You can also turn off all inventory items on the form in your Form Settings.
The item stays in your inventory. You can Hide or Delete it manually at any time.
No. Once a Story is processed into Inventory, the item remains in your inventory even after the Story expires.
No. Photos and descriptions are pulled directly from your Instagram posts and stories after you connect your account.
Not yet. For now, Inventory works with photo posts and stories.
Currently, we can only make one inventory item per post or story. If you include multiple items in one image, our processor won’t capture each individual item (for now).
