What Happens After Your Drop Ends
When your drop ends, the Sales Assistant takes it from there — sending checkout links, creating orders, and tracking who’s paid. Here’s the whole journey, start to finish.
- When the drop ends, winners get their checkout links and items with no bids move to Unsold.
- An order is created for each winner — multiple wins by one person are grouped into a single order.
- Orders update to Paid when they check out and Shipped once you ship; winners who don’t pay go Expired.

The post-drop journey, step by step
- Your drop ends
Automatically when the timer runs out, or whenever you end it early.
- Checkout links go out
Each winner is DMed their checkout link. Any items that didn’t get a bid move to your Unsold list.
- Orders are created
A Thryft Ship order is created for every winner on your Orders page. If one person won several items, those are grouped into a single order so they check out and ship together.
- Customers check out
As each winner pays, their order updates to Paid. More on this in How Checkout Works.
- You ship
Once you buy the label and send it off, the order updates to Shipped. See Your Orders Page Explained.
- If someone doesn’t pay
Their item’s status becomes Expired and lands in Needs Attention, where you can resend the link, offer the next bidder, or sell it to someone else — see When a Winner Doesn’t Pay (Expired Items).
Common questions
What happens to items that didn’t sell?
They move to your Unsold list. Nothing’s lost — you can include them in a future drop.
If one person wins several items, do they get separate links?
No — their wins are grouped into a single order with one checkout, so they pay (and you ship) everything together.
How do I know when an order is paid or shipped?
Each order’s status updates automatically — Paid when the customer checks out, Shipped once you send it. See Your Orders Page Explained.
What if a winner never checks out?
The item goes to an Expired status under Needs Attention. Here’s what to do.
